Chance's Baptism Day

Chance's Big day finally arrived. He was so excited for his baptism day! He was dressed and ready to get to the church bright and early.

Hannah gave the talk on "baptism." She did such a good job, and was happy to do it for her little brother. There were 3 other boys baptized from our ward along with Chance. Their names were Kane, Kendall, and Sam!

Easton had to have a "purple" tie just like his cool big bro:)

These two looked so precious all dressed in white. They are two peas in a pod. Their personalites, their habits, and the way they are built. I just love them to pieces.

Aunt Jen, made this darling picture for Chance as a baptism gift. We used it in the entry way.

I had towels embroidered for both Brandon and Chance. You can't see it very well but Chances has his name, baptism date, and CTR printed on it. I have done these for all of my kids and they cherish them.

Brandon and I gave Chance his very first set of SCRIPTURES...with his name printed on them! He can't wait to carry them to church.

My girlfriend "Jana" and I made this banner for the luncheon. It was a work of love:)

Personalized water bottles. I ordered these babies and when they came...Brandon announced that Snugz made them and I was an idiot for paying someone to create them. OOpsie!

This was such a fun day. Chance was so proud and happy and so were Brandon and I. It's always a lot of work, but soooo worth it when it's over.

Chance and his little buddies, barely had time to eat they were so busy trying to beat each other in XBox! Whatever...it was "his" day and he got to choose whatever he thought was fun.
Happy Baptism Chance...WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH! And hope you remember this day forever.

3RD OUTFIT!!!

YEP, CRAPPY DAY! I AM ON MY 3RD...YES 3RD OUTFIT TODAY AND IT'S ONLY 5:30! WHY...

I'VE BEEN RUNNING AROUND LIKE A CHICKEN WITH MY HEAD CUT OFF TRYING TO GET READY FOR CHANCE'S BAPTISM ON SATURDAY. I DON'T KNOW WHY I STRESS ABOUT THESE THINGS SO BAD, BUT I JUST DO!

ANYWHO, THIS MORNING WHEN I CAME OUT OF THE GROCERY STORE AND OPENED THE BACK HATCH TO MY CAR, A 12 PACK OF DIET DR. PEPPER FELL OUT, HIT THE GROUND, LIKE 7 OF THE CANS EXPLODED LIKE HUMONGOUS FIREWORKS!

SPRAYING ALL OVER ME, SOAKING MY CLOTHES, RUINING MY FAVORITE "WHITE" BALL CAP, DRIPPING OFF MY EYELASHES, RUNNING OUT OF MY NOSE, AND COMPLETELY SOAKING MY FEET!

ALL THE WHILE, EASTON IS RUNNING THROUGH THE PARKING LOT SCREAMING AND CRYING BECAUSE IT SCARED HIM SO BAD. AND TWO LITTLE HISPANIC LADIES ARE TRYING TO SPEAK ENOUGH ENGLISH TO TRACK HIM DOWN AND GET HIM BACK TO THE CAR! I SERIOUSLY JUST STARTED LAUGHING HYSTERICALLY I WAS SO PAST FREAKING OUT!

PLUS, I WAS ALREADY LATE TO PICK UP HANNAH FROM CHEER AND BRANDON WAS GOING TO KILL ME WHEN HE SAW THE SODA ALL OVER THE CEILING OF THE CAR:(

CAME HOME, CHANGED CLOTHES.

TWO HOURS LATER, HUGE RAIN STORM HIT SARATOGA. OUR RAIN GUTTERS WERE BACKING UP SO I RAN OUTSIDE TO CHECK IF THEY WERE DOING ANY DAMAGE. AS I PEEKED AROUND THE CORNER OF MY FRONT PORCH, I TOTALLY GOT MY FLIP FLOP STUCK IN MY FLOWER POT, SLIPPED AND FELL DOWN THREE STEPS AND LANDED/BOUNCED DIRECTLY ON MY SIDE. I'M SURE THE NEIGHBORS ACROSS THE STREET WERE LAUGHING! I WAS SOAKING WET AND I'M LUCKY I DIDN'T BREAK MY FREAKIN HIP!

WENT INSIDE, CHANGED CLOTHES...BRANDON LAUGHED AND SAID "HE CAN'T BELIEVE HE MISSED IT!" NICE...REAL NICE.

YES, I AM STRESSED! I HAVE A BAPTISM IN TWO DAYS AND I'LL BE LUCKY IF I DON'T SHOW UP IN A FULL BODY CAST! I HAVE TO GO AND DRINK HEAVILY NOW!

Fourth of JuLy!!!

We spent Saturday and Sunday out at "Last Chance" boating. It was so fun to watch the kids getting so much better at skiing and wakeboarding. I strained my neck carrying some towels...it was quite a serious injury...I'm not sure I should carry anything ever again:) Brandon still made me ski. He is going to have a skiing wife if it kills him...or me...or whatever comes first!

Then Sunday night, we met up with a few of our friends/neighbors for a spur of the moment firework show! It was so much fun. Our next door neighbor "Jordan" had made a quick run to Wyoming for some "special" fireworks the day before!

Jason delivered quite the awesome finale'! He got swacked in the back of the head by his wife many times that evening for throwing fireworks in the air and almost burning small innocent children:)
Jordan on the other hand, just taught the kids how to "jump" the fireworks. Needless to say, his shorts looked like they had been attacked by pirana's! Oh man, I laughed til I was sick!

Monday: 4th of July: JANA'S STREET PARADE AND BREAKFAST!!!

We had a delicious pot luck breakfast, followed by a parade...complete with Mark and Jordan M.C ing the whole event! They seriously sounded like official announcers...only dumber! HA HA HA...crack me up!

All the kids had to line up behind Jana to avoid the "crashes" that apparently took place last year! I'M HAPPY TO REPORT...WE HAD A NO INJURY PARADE!

Later that night, we met up with some friends at the "REAL" soccer game! It was a perfect way to end the holiday. Yummy food, lots of laughs, and spectacular fireworks!!!

We are certainly grateful to live in the "LAND OF THE FREE!" HAPPY FOURTH.

From the mouths of "our babes":

*Our doorbell rang. Chance ran to get it. No one was there. He said, "oh darn,it must have been a knocker-ditcher." (Otherwise known as a doorbell ditcher.)

*Chance climbed in the back of the car this afternoon, and said "ewww mom, the back of your car smells gross...it smells like fries and poo all mixed together."

There was a little boy acting very naughty in Chances primary class...he turned and told the boy that he was an "ANGRY ELF." The teacher told me that it made her whole day and she nearly peed her pants laughing. (We were visiting at a different ward, which makes it even funnier because he didn't even know the boy.)

*Chance's kindergarten teacher's name is Mrs. Rasband, he came home and told Brandon that her name is Mrs. Wristband! Close enough

*As we were driving through the farmlands, Addie blurts out from the backseat, "it's cool how HAY grows, it just randomly pops up in perfect little blocks!" (She was DEAD serious)

*We came home from camping and Addie turns to me and says, "Mom, it feels so good to be home and walk on the grass and have a cup of milk!"

*We ate at a "Thai" restaurant tonight. Addie was so sick of peanuts on all of the food. She finally looked at me and said, "what the heck, do they have a peanut tree in that kitchen or what?"

*Chance asked me, "Mom, why Jesus make me so fast?" (Basically asking why he is such a fast runner)

*Chance was looking through the neighbors fence at their dog and he came running back across the street and said " oh sick, that dog just bless you'd all over my face!" Apparently, that means the dog sneezed on him!

*Chance calls "Walkie Talkies"... "Hickey Tickies"

*Hannah told me that we are going to give her "arthritis" because we are making her camp in a tent this year. (We sold our big fifth wheel last year.) Poor kids!

*We went thru the drive-up at Wendy's and they were out of Frosty's. As we pulled away, Chance murmurs to himself: "damn, damn, damn!" (I will take full responsibility for that one!) Needless to say, we had a little chat!

*Chance says that "chocolate milk" is his favorite taste!

*Chance was picking the seat of his pants today, and I said "what's wrong son, do you have a snuggy?" And he said, "no mom, I don't have a snuggly, my bums are just stuck together.

*Tonight at dinner, Addie told us that her favorite solid food is BUTTER and her favorite liquid food is SPRAY BUTTER!

*Chance told me today that his brain was making him scared to go to school. (He just kept holding his head in his hands)

*We had a "chick" die this weekend. Of course the kids made us do a burial. Apparently it freaked Chance out, and he wouldn't sleep in his bed because he just knew there were dead chicks in the sheets, and his feet could feel the feathers!

Easton "Such a Big Miracle, in such a Little Boy"

For those that don't know, our little boy nearly drowned in a bathtub accident when he was just 7 months old. I had run a bath for myself and left Easton (who could barely crawl) in his room on the floor. I ran out to the kitchen to clean up a glass my daughter had broken. When I returned to the bath... Easton had pulled himself into the bathroom and was floating face down in the water. He had his feet pajama's on which helped him slip over the side. He was under for about two - four minutes and it took four minutes of CPR from his daddy before he took his first breath. He was taken by ambulance to "Primary's" where he stayed in the ICU overnight. He had a full recovery. We are so, so lucky! He is ONE YEAR OLD now and we're so happy that our heavenly father decided that we could keep him!!! He brings so much SUNSHINE into our lives. "We love you Eastie". I put this on my blog for my own journal, but also for people to always be aware of your kids around water...they are capable of sooo much more than you may think!
