Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving always starts out with all the guys playing in the "Turkey Bowl." We have a lot of fun watching, taking pictures, and creating our own side show.



The guys think they are still in their twenties, and can hardly walk for the next three days! But ohhhhh...it's worth it.
























Dinner was at Mom and Dad Mackays this year. We took a picture of the "star" of our family parties..."the orange rolls." Kim is always in charge of those, and we fight for our share.



Brandon nearly cut off his pointer finger while peeling the potatoes...he did that on Halloween too! It's becoming a tradition for us.



We had a great day and made lots of good memories.

Aint it the truth!

OH GEEZ...THAT'S FUNNY!
As I sit here and have a few extra minutes this morning, I've been thinking about how grateful I am for my new found passion....blogging, and facebook. I was so dead set against both of them in the beginning, and now besides my family...it is what I am most grateful for this Thanksgiving.
I write this post with tears in my eyes because the internet has re-connected me with so many loved ones that I have missed so much in my life.
Today, I received like three or four messages on my facebook and blog that made me feel so special as a person. Like maybe somehow, someway I have actually impacted someones life at one time or another. And on a holiday that I am missing my mom sooooo much, these words from friends have really touched my heart and made me feel like I am loved and needed.
So today, I am grateful for the internet which helps me stay connected with so many dear friends. Whether it's from my neighborhood, or Saratoga, the awesome group that I grew up with, or however our paths may have crossed... I truly love you, and thanks for being a part of my life! Happy Thanksgiving.

Kindergarten "feast"

The kindergarten class was able to have a great "feast" this week. They dressed as pilgrims and sat together for a not-so-traditional Thanksgiving meal. Each child was assigned an item to bring. Chance was in charge of the milk. The meal consisted of: turkey sandwiches, orange slices, apple slices, carrots & ranch, banana's and of course...milk! They ate up everything. And they were all so proud of their costumes. Oh lets not forget, they made homemade butter to put on their sandwiches! What a cute little class.

Coldplay Concert

Saturday night, we joined a bunch of other couples for the "Coldplay" concert. Our friends, the "Jeppsons" bought out the entire rock star suite. We had so much fun. I don't think I'll ever be able to go to a concert again without being in a suite. It was so fun to just walk around, eat, chat, and enjoy the music. I actually ended up knowing a lot more songs than I thought I would. I was pretty impressed with myself.

So of course the girls at his work, nicely decorated his office! Sweet job, Ashlee and Sara..."Go Utes." How great was that game???? Loved it.

F.H.E. ~ Sloppy Joes and Scarves

My kids favorite meal is sloppy joes. So Monday night we cooked some up and got to work making scarves for our neighbors homeless children drive.

The kids trying them on to make sure they fit! Easton obviously loved it! After they were all done, we walked them over to the neighbors and the kids ran up to the door. When they rang, Chance yells out "trick or treat!" The dad opened the door so startled! And my kids just stood on the doorstep giggling. The neighbor laughed and was very gratful for the scarves!

Addie and her friend making a home video on the computer. First off, Maddy keeps gagging on the product they are trying to sell, then Easton meets the back door with his head. Make sure you go to the bathroom before watching...as to not pee your pants! Priceless!

weekend rundown

Friday night started with Brandon and I going to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants "Lugano's". His employees gave him a gift certificate for boss's week. It is such a quaint little place with super delicious food. I love this one on one time with my hubby.

Then Amanda met us for a movie! Don't mind my 300 chins in this picture...do you think it's the large popcorn with extra butter that creates chins like that? Very hard to accomplish indeed.

Chance picked out these super cool light up jammies for he and Easton! "Batman rocks."

Saturday we got up early and headed out to the girls dance performance at the South Towne Center Gift Show!

This years costumes. They made all the girls in Hannah's group buy bra's. We put hers on that morning and it seriously just bunched up under her outfit! I laughed so hard that I think I hurt her feelings. She is just a little munchkin and not developing as fast as most the girls her age. She has a pretty good sense of humor about it though. Needless to say...she did not wear the brazier.

Saturday night was UFC fight night! We take this very seriously in our family, and we start em' out young!

This is Eastons fight face! Unfortunately he tried out some of his moves on the poor unexpecting children in the nursery at church. He would nicely punch them and then quickly give them a hug as to not get in trouble.

Sunday night we made chicken and dumplings for dinner. It was soooo good. I haven't made it in ages, and the whole family loved it.

Today was my first day helping in Chance's class this year. We have assigned days that we get to go in and help. I was in charge of helping the kids put together their pilgrim hats for the upcoming "feast."

I love the time I get to spend with each of my kids in their classroom. I am so lucky to be able to have that opportunity. My mom had to work and didn't get that privilege...so it makes me appreciate it all the more! I love talking with the kids and hearing all of their funny stories. One girl drew a monster indian baby with one eye on her pilgrim hat. Another drew a hairy toaster! I love kindergarteners so much...they just crack me up!
