Officially in the "teen" SCENE

"Do unto others as you would have done to you."  Yep...that's the darn truth!
My girls think it's hilarious to have sleepovers and go toilet papering. That is, until they had to get up at 8a.m on a Friday morning and go out and clean up their own yard!!! Oh man, PAYBACK STINKS!
I don't think they learned much from this. All I keep hearing is..."it's ON."  They know exactly who did it and they have big plans for getting them back.  However; I know from an inside source, that those boys they are trying to get back...sleep with a baby monitor on their front porch so they can hear ANY AND ALL MOVEMENT! Oh man, we are OFFICIALLY IN THE "TEEN" SCENE!

Sleepy Bug

This kid just goes and goes and goes. You will often find him passed out in odd places late in the afternoon. This night, he just konked out as I was making dinner.
One night, about an hour after we had put the boys to bed, Brandon went up to check on them for the final time.  Easton was no where to be found. He looked all over and was getting a bit worried. Then, over in the corner, he spotted little "E" sitting straight up in between his chair and lamp.  He is a bit scared of the dark so he was probably just "going toward the light." We laughed and laughed. What a cutie patootie!
Gotta crash at some point! We just love this little munchkin...he sure keeps us on our toes:)

Camping with my Troops!

Last weekend, I took my kids camping up in the high Uintas to stay in my Grandpa Wendells cabin.  I followed my dad up there because I had never driven it by myself. He also has a little cabin up there, and we just had a super dooper weekend together!

I was so proud of myself and my kids. We worked together to pack up the car (with help from Uncle Chris on loading the baggage trailer), and off we went to enjoy the great outdoors. We had yummy breakfasts, spaghetti and garlic bread, and even a great meal at the "Defa's Ranch Cafe."
My dad loves to tinker around, he was always fixing something.  Here, he is fixing a deck. Easton got ahold of the crow bar, tripped and fell and it stabbed into his forehead.  He was fine, but that night he got a fever of 103.5. I freaked out because i thought he had blood poisoning or something. I drove him down to Primary Childrens and spent 5 hours waiting around for them to tell me he had a fluke virus!
That was crappy, but glad he was ok. We drugged him up and headed back up to the ranch to finish what we had started. Plus I had left my dad up there with all the kids and the dog, so I had to return!

My kids got along so well. I remember why I love camping so much and I don't know why I don't do it more?  They search for snipes at night, play with the dog, enjoy cards and watching movies together. So fun!
However, we did miss Brandon terribly.  He was on the dreaded Asia trip!

A Day with Breezy

Here's Bree arriving at her ol' pal Liz's house.  She was so happy to be there and left Liz the nicest housewarming gift (a year later...no judgement Bree).
Next, Bree enjoyed sitting on Liz's patio...pondering the beauty of her surroundings.  She always makes that face when she is happy and content!
Bree was so relaxed that she decided to go upstairs and take a nap in what she thought, was a "little Asian Gnomes bed."
Here's a picture of the little "Asian Gnome" that Bree pictured lived in Liz's upstairs bedroom. Little did she know that it was just for Easton and not a gnome. (This photo came from a book that she gave to Liz as a house warming gift that was titled: Awkward Family Photo's.) Liz and her husband enjoyed many hours of laughter from that book!
Bree loves to do nice things for people.  She is the first to jump out of the car and illegally lift a flag rope to allow her driver to park in the stall of their dreams. Is there anything she won't do???
Bree with Liz....so happy to have had the chance to spend a hilarious day together reconnecting!
Love ya Ol' Breezy... Tiny Big Red!!!

Chance turns "7"

Brandon asked Chance to go grab something for him out of the back of his car. When Chance opened up the cargo door, there it was.....HIS VERY OWN, BRIGHT RED, SUPER FAST, TOTALLY AWESOME...MOTORCYCLE!!!
He was so excited. Now he could ride with his buddy "Connor" all over the neighborhood and join his other friend "Troy" out at Last Chance to tear it up all around the lake:)
I'm not sure who was more excited....Chance or his Dad?
He had to have the matching gear of course.  What a handsome little dude!
Now Chance has never had an actual "friends" birthday party. He is just way too shy. He just gags at the thought of having to be sung to or open presents in front of a large crowd.  So, he has always opted to take a friend or two to do something fun.  This year, it was "Troy", and we went to Chick-fil-A and then to see "IRON MAN 2."
I loved Easton in this picture.  He thinks he is the "bomb" hanging out with these older boys.
Happy Birthday my "Chance Man", hope you had a great day turning "7"!!!
(Also, stay tuned because he has agreed to a large birthday party taking place in two weeks...we are sooooo excited. Oh my gosh, i hope he doesn't back out and leave me to entertain 15 little boys alone...,might be awkward!)
